It's been a cold winter in NYC.
January was more than three degrees cooler than usual.
That may not sound like much, but you can feel the difference.
February has been cold too and it will still be in the 20's this week.
Luckily we have missed the last few snowfalls which wreaked havoc elsewhere.
But due to the cold we haven't had much flower activity in the hood.
A few brave people put in some Lenten roses recently and are probably regretting it now.
Their flowers are definitely looking a bit on the unhappy side.
Unlike these.
These are from Central Park where I hope to spot some new ones soon.
