Central Park - February 2021

It's official.  This is our snowiest February in five years.  So far we have gotten 26".

The last one was a measly 4" but it did give me a chance to head to the park the next day when the skies were blue so I could mix up the pics a bit.

And it seems like the more snow we have, the more creative the snow sculptures get.  A man and his dogs!

As far as winters go, this one is actually not that snowy overall.  38" so far.

But it isn't over yet, so there's still a chance to move up the list.

Of course it's unlikely that we will ever come anywhere near NYC's snowiest winter ever.  That was 1995-1996.  We got 75.6" of snow.  I remember it well.  It was outrageous.

It started snowing early.  3" in November, 12" in December.  Then it got really nuts - 26" in January and 21" in February.  Some weeks we had two snowfalls of more than over a foot each.

Then we had another 13 inches in March and finally an inch in April.

The only thing that got me through was knowing that it was the worst ever so it was unlikely that it would ever happen again.

And, so far it hasn't. :-)
