Orange Roses 2



One of the things I find most amazing about flowers is the subtly of their color variation. 
While I have classified these roses as orange,

some could just as easily be called peach,
and others are closer to pink. 
I have to admit that I am partial to the ones that have an edge with a different color. 
I often wonder what varieties were crossbred to create that effect.   
Adding a red or a yellow perhaps? 
But my favorite thing about roses is their scent, so it's a shame that so many breeders ignore smell these days. 
When I selected roses for our roof garden I deliberately picked those that smelled the sweetest. 
And I am glad that I did!
