Halloween in the hood – East 78th Street night edition

Last year when I went to the 78th Street Halloween block party,

I realized that it was way too crowded to get any good shots of the decorations.

So, I made a note to swing by earlier in the week this year.

There were some pretty impressive displays.

Some were so scary I heard children shrieking.

I also heard many different languages being spoken.

So clearly the word has gotten out.

I love the fact that everyone on the block wants to get in on the action.

But not all the decorations were lit up, so you end up missing some of the most creative ones if you go at night.

And you’ll miss Alice and Wonderland for sure.  So, if you have to choose, I definitely recommend a daytime visit instead.
