If you are going from the Upper East Side of Manhattan to Brooklyn, one of the fastest routes is to take the FDR south to the Brooklyn Bridge and then take the BQE. This photo was taken on an entrance ramp from the FDR to the bridge.
I loved the way the ramps framed the view of lower Manhattan.
