One of the most interesting things about collaborating with Tim is how the same photo can resonate in different ways. When I took this pic of Times Square, what caught my eye was the juxtaposition between the "Visitors Service" sign and the one that said "Keep Moving." To my mind they pretty much contradicted each other.
But while Tim saw the "Keep moving" sign and gave it top billing, he underplayed the "Visitors Services" sign.
In the end though what I like best about his interpretation was the decision to leave the people unfinished in black and white. It really makes the buildings pop.
