Lake Wynonah acrylic

I don't do many paintings.  Truth told, I find them boring.  If you don't get it right the first time, you just keep at it until you do.  So it becomes repetitive.

But, my brother Ken asked for a painting of the view from his lake house at sunset, so I thought I would give it a shot.   This is the inspirational photo taken by my niece Jessica, that they selected for the piece.
My brother asked me to cheat it a bit so that he could see the houses across the lake.  No problem.  That's the good thing about painting - artistic license.

And here was the final result.
I'm pleased with it.  But I still don't like painting.  Next time I'll have to talk him into an embroidery.

Cheers!

Sunsets at Lake Wynonah, Auburn PA.

My brother was kind enough to loan me his lake house for a vacation in the country.
 (Thanks Kenny & Jeanne!)
And I was lucky enough to have not one but two beautiful sunsets

to enjoy and photograph.
Each lasted for over a half hour and morphed several times for maximum enjoyment.
Not surprisingly some of the neighbors enjoyed the show from the water,
something I'd like to try someday.
But at first I was puzzled about these ducks making a beeline toward a boat
-- until the feeding began and I realized it was probably a frequent ritual.
How lovely.
Namaste.
