I
don't do many paintings. Truth told, I
find them boring. If you don't get it
right the first time, you just keep at it until you do. So it becomes repetitive.
But,
my brother Ken asked for a painting of the view from his lake house at sunset,
so I thought I would give it a shot.
This is the inspirational photo taken by my niece Jessica, that they
selected for the piece.
My
brother asked me to cheat it a bit so that he could see the houses across the
lake. No problem. That's the good thing about painting -
artistic license.
And
here was the final result.
I'm
pleased with it. But I still don't like
painting. Next time I'll have to talk
him into an embroidery.
Cheers!

Thank you so much for sharing this. At atmospheric rendition of a lovely time of day in a special place. Especially your treatment of the sky.
