With a
chance of snow in tomorrow's forecast
I
couldn't help but think about places that are more suited to snow than we
are.
These
photos are from the Austrian Alps.
Known
not only for their majestic snow covered mountains
but
also their bluer than blue lakes.
And
yes, in case you are wondering this is where Julie Andrews sang at the
beginning of The Sound of Music.
The
area is also known as Salzkammergut.
The architecture is beautiful and varied,
Swiss
style chalets and quaint little villages.
But my favorite photo was this one -- and yes that little girl was reading the book to
the horse!
