As soon as I got back from North Carolina I headed out to the
Brooklyn Botanic Garden to see if I could catch the tulips.
They had already started to bloom in Manhattan before we
left last week, so I might have been too late.
But as you can see I was right on time.
They have such a beautiful collection, and it changes each
year so I always try to catch them, although I'm not always successful.
Spring
is very fickle.
And to prove that, there were still some late magnolias
blooming,
including my favorite yellow tree.
How odd is that?
The photos of the white magnolias that I posted before I
left were taken on March 29.
That's the longest magnolia bloom in NYC that I can
remember.
