Now that I have my Moderna shots I can travel further afar again. Yippee.
I had gotten a bit bored with the hood.
And, all sorts of interesting places lie in the distance accessible by subway needing to be explored.
But first my promised trip to Chinatown.
Actually I am there fairly often because I take a variety of Chinese herbs to keep myself healthy.
So I was pleased to be able to resume my trips.
This time I brought my good camera so I could capture "Rice Terraces."
It is a 4851 square feet mural on Doyers Street between Pell & Bowery. It was painted by Dasic Fernandez and is scheduled to be visible through next May - weather permitting. What do you think that means? If it snows they won't clear it off?

It really is quite pretty. But I think I enjoyed the hanging lanterns more. I'll bet they are really lovely at night. I may have to check it out at some point.
