Last weekend they held a sand sculpture contest at Coney
Island.
It's a yearly event.
I've wanted to go ever since I started seeing photos of the
sculptures in the papers.
But this is the first year that the stars were properly
aligned.
In fact, it was a beautiful day.
And everyone was having a great time.
There was music and you could get up close and personal
with the sculptures
and the artists.
I was afraid that it would be really crowded, but it wasn't
too bad.
So next year -- check it out!
