Fall @ the High Line

When I visited the High Line at the end of the summer I was delighted to see how the plants have matured and how beautiful they look.

So I made a mental note to come back during the fall to photograph them then.
I lucked into the perfect day last week so I headed on down.
The first tower of Hudson Yards is almost completed.
And the surrounding planting is in.
But that area of the High Line probably won't be much to look at until more of it is finished as the two are destined to be intertwined.
Meanwhile though, in part two, some of the mature trees have really gotten big.
It's pretty amazing since according to a special I saw they only have about 18 inches of soil to grow in.
Unfortunately there was scaffolding over some of the best parts.
But, I guess that's just a good reason to come back again another time.
Here are two previous blogs about the High Line...

and one about Hudson Yards...

Enjoy!
