A perfect spring day in Central Park

Yesterday it was 67 and sunny in NYC.  We waited a long time for the weather to get nice this year.

March averaged about 2 degrees below normal.

And it's our 8th snowiest April.  We even got 5.5 inches of snow a few weeks ago.

But for two days it was spring.

So of course everyone headed for the park to play.

The "yellows" as my mom called them were in full bloom.

As were the white magnolias, including the ones with the pink tint.

The flashiest pink magnolias were not quite ready for prime time, so they will probably peak next week.

Hopefully there will be another beautiful day to enjoy it.  Keep your fingers crossed.

Spring is always a bit iffy around here. :-)
Here are some other blogs from Central Park in the spring...

Cheers!
