Although the exhibit at the Whitney has ended
I thought I'd post a second set of photos from the
Grant Wood collection
because I really love his work.
I also wanted a chance to show some more of his
depth as an artist.
The exhibit started with some examples of his
decorative work, which as you can see was quite playful.
It also included some excellent portraits - this
one is a self-portrait.
Here's another one of his lovely impressionist
paintings.
And one of his Norman Rockwell style.
But I still like his signature style the best.
It makes me smile.
