Walking around the neighborhood lately I can see that some bulbs are starting to come up in the tree pits.
I don’t usually see many crocuses in the area,
so, in all likelihood they are daffodils.
A sure sign of spring!
Oddly enough, we already saw some blooming. Edward guessed that the pipe visible on the right next to them must warm. Sounds like a good guess.
the earliest NYC daffodil appearance in the past decade was
on March 11th
( That was in 2016.)
With temperatures going up to the 50’s and possibly 60’s next week – in February –
we may be able to set a new record.
I’m still a bit bummed about the lack of snow though. ☹
