I went
over to The Met last week to check out their yearly exhibit
of clothes that you can't wear.
I have
to admit that I am still having a bit of difficulty with that concept.
That
having been said, these pleated pieces,
by
Issey Miyake, were my favorites.
They
have such beautiful shapes.
It's
such a shame that they weren't positioned in the middle of the floor
so you
could walk around them and see/photograph them from all angles, like this
one
But
sadly most of the pieces were placed against a wall. Oh well.
The
exhibit runs until August 14, so you still have plenty of time to catch it.
