Salzburg 3



Now that summer's here, I find my thoughts turning toward summer's past, 
so I thought I'd post some more pics of Salzburg. 
Since it's in the 90's here this week,
I was reminded that it was nice and cool in Salzburg when we visited. 
Actually it was too cool and we had to buy jackets so we wouldn't be cold!  
That's because Salzburg abuts the north side of the Alps. 
It also tends to be rainy for the same reason,
but of course that's why the surrounding mountains are so lush and green. 
But the highlight of a visit is the Old Town,
which was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997.
