The
white hydrangeas were clearly the winners in this year's weather lottery.
Their
abundance filled the neighborhood and our backyard at the Amherst.
They're
still looking pretty good, as are all our summer flowers, thanks to the warm
weather we have had lately.
It's
been so warm in fact that I was shocked when it actually started to cool off
yesterday,
even
though it is mid-October.
But if
we're going to have a pretty fall,
it's time to say goodbye to the summer
temperatures.
Because
it has to cool off at night for the leaves to be pretty.
We
could also use a bit more rain.
Keep
your fingers crossed.
