Now
that it's fall chrysanthemums have taken over.
Sadly
most of the ones at the farmer's market are the boring traditional kind.
When I
went to the exhibit at the NY Botanical Garden in the Bronx,
I
discovered just how lovely mums can be.
Apparently they come in every color but blue.
I guess
the pretty varieties must be hard to grow
or they would have already made their way to
home gardeners.
Perhaps
someday.
But for
now, you'll still need to schlep up to the Bronx for a closer look.
The
exhibit runs through November 19.
And here's a previous blog about mums...
Enjoy!
