Last week Edward sent me a link to an article in Time Out NY
about the cherry blossom festival on Roosevelt Island.
It reminded me that I had seen some pretty photos of their
cherries last year.
So as soon as we had a nice day I headed over to get some
pics.
I am glad that I did.
Two out of the three varieties were in full bloom.
Not only was it a lovely day, but it was fun to get photos
of some of the classic New York buildings with cherry blossoms in them.
And because it was a weekday, the crowds were
manageable.
Since it’s still pretty cool out, it might still be petty
this week in case you want to go check them out.
Otherwise, there’s always next year. :-)
Here are
some other Roosevelt Island blogs…
Enjoy!
