When I saw photographs of the new Bloomberg Center at Cornell Tech on Roosevelt Island,
I figured I would head over to take a closer
look.
The
building is named for Emma & Georgina Bloomberg after a $100 million
donation from the Bloomberg Foundation.
The
idea for the university was Bloomberg's when he was mayor.
A way
to bring tech startups to the city.
The
building is very flashy with lots of cool angles and reflections.
Awesome!
But as
always, one of the things you notice most when you go to Roosevelt Island are
the views of Manhattan.
This
one brought home how much the new buildings are changing the familiar skyline
of Manhattan.
And
this one is a twofer, with an Edward bonus - Freedom Tower and American Cooper
Buildings.
