I was out walking the other day when I spotted some canna lilies - a sure sign of summer.
Seeing them made me nostalgic for the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
I usually visit a few times a year in the spring/summer. But, Covid.
Hopefully next year I will be able to start visiting again.
Meanwhile though, they usually have some in Central Park in the Conservatory Gardens at 105th Street and Fifth Avenue.
I will have to take a walk over and see if they are in residence this year.
In the spring when I visited looking for tulips I was disappointed to see that they had not been planted.
I guess things were a little rough last fall.
But perhaps they had enough volunteers to plant cannas.
I'll have to let you know. :-)
