Hi!
My name is PJ Lehrer -- welcome to my studio.
I have started this blog so people can check out my artwork. My primary medium is embroidery, but I’ll also be posting photographs, drawings, watercolors and digital collages. You can also follow me on Instagram at pjlehrer.
I hope you are inspired by my work.

A visit to The Met.
It’s been so hot out this summer that we started thinking about indoor activities.
The Met was first on our list so we headed over.
Not surprisingly it was crowded.
I know that’s good for The Met and NYC since they were mostly tourists – hopefully spending lots of money.
Whenever I give tourists directions, which happens frequently, I always wrap up by saying: “Have fun. Spend lots of money.”
To which someone once replied: “We already have!”
The highlight exhibit during our visit was a collection of Winslow Homer works. Upon viewing it you can easily see that his seascapes were his jam.
I always make it a point to check out the drawings. On this visit I was rewarded with a Van Gogh. :-)
But perhaps the newest strange thing was the painted statues – reproductions of Greek originals showing what they looked like when they were painted.
Not nearly as majestic as when they are all white. ;-)
That’s it for now!
Cheers,
PJ
