Last year the magnolias were beautiful.
We had our 4th warmest March and they bloomed early.
Then it cooled down in April so that slowed their maturing.
They lasted for four weeks, which is unprecedented.
This year we had a
cold snowy March that killed many of them before they really got going.
It was very sad.
But it's always interesting to see how the weather plays
out in the spring.
As you might have guessed for this blog I have opted for
more photos from last year at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
It was quite spectacular.
