My BFF
Doug has moved to Italy! How awesome is
that?
Of
course it has been raining and snowing ever since he arrived. Oh well.
I am sure it will be spring soon
I
haven't visited Bassano, where he is living, yet. So I thought I would post another set of
photos from Rome.
Most
of these are from the famous Roman Forum.
I've been watching the new Cleopatra series on tv.
So I have been thinking of Julius Caesar's murder in the curia
of the Theatre of Pompey lately.
And
wondering if history will repeat itself - as it has a tendency to do.
These
other pics are from the Villa d'Este and Hadrian's Villa in Tivoli.
It's a
beautiful place.
Famous
for its Italian Renaissance Gardens and ruins from the time of Hadrian I - two of my favorite things.
And, we
couldn't resist turning this fun shot in front of the Neptune Fountain into our
holiday card that year.
Here's
a previous blog of Rome...
Enjoy!
