Seward
Johnson died March 12, 2020.
He was
89 years old.
He is
known for his lifelike sculptures.
There's
one in Manhattan on 34th Street between 3rd and Lex of a painter that appears
to be a permanent resident of the city.
But in
the summer of 2015,
there
was an exhibit of many of Johnson's pieces
that
ran up Broadway between Herald Square and Times Square.
I
still remember how much fun it was.
Not
only were the pieces amazing but the way that people interacted with them was awesome
too.
It
makes me smile to think of it.
Here
are the blogs I posted previously.
And
here's to Seward Johnson.
