I was watching a documentary about the NYC subways the other
day,
and they trashed Robert Moses.
Apparently his passion for highways and bridges not only resulted in the leveling of several neighborhoods,
but he also redeployed subway funding to his pet projects,
which resulted in the deterioration of the subway
system.
What a guy!
But on the plus side, those highways allow for some of the
best views in NYC.
These pics were taken driving on the FDR, BQE and the Gowanus
Expressway.
It’s not always a smooth ride,
but it usually is a pretty one.
