I finally made it to NYC’s Easter Parade this year.
Sort of.
I had read that it was running from 10 am to 4 pm.
Since it was cool in the morning, I thought I would catch the
end of the parade when it would be warmer out.
But when I arrived at 57th street at 3:00 I saw
cars instead of people on 5th Avenue. Oh no.
I’m still not sure what happened.
But I headed toward St. Patrick’s which is the epicenter of
the event.
And when I got there, I could see there were still plenty of
people with outrageous hats posing on the steps.
Cool.
Later I saw this photo of the crowds during the actual parade
and realized that my late arrival was fortuitous.
But I still may want to go earlier next year. 😉
Here are some photos from other NYC parades…
