After a stupendous fall, NYC’s temps went below freezing last night so our flowers and leaves will not be with us much longer.
Seems like a good time to post some more pics of fall on the High Line.
One of the interesting things they have decided to do is to let the lawn go natural.
Instead of trying to keep it grass, which would require the
use of fertilizers,
they have let the “weeds” grow and the area has filled up
with dandelions and clover.
What a great idea.
And environmentally correct too.
But I think most of the people walking on the High Line this
fall barely noticed the lawn since they were too busy enjoying the trees.
And the occasional glimpse of the Statue of Liberty.
Or just hanging out on the benches. 😉
