It's Autumn so the fall show in Central Park has begun. It's quite spectacular.
Even in a so so year like this one.
You can thank Olmstead & Vaux for that. Every time I visit I am struck by the fact that the trees are placed so beautifully.
And of course the people who work there have kept it beautiful for 163 years so kudos to them too.
But as far as the lackluster trees are concerned, you can blame global warming for that.
Trees that turn yellow do so when the days get shorter so they are pretty much a given every year.
But for the red and orange trees to look their best we need some cool nights.
So far, they have been in short supply this year.
But I figure we have at least a couple of more weeks to go, so perhaps they will make an appearance before the show ends.
Fingers crossed.
